Somrita Urni Ganguly is a professor, researcher, and translator, pursuing her PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her work has been published extensively. Somrita is a recipient of the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Award, the Sarojini Dutta Memorial Prize and a Fulbright Scholarship. Somrita has been a judge for PEN America’s Translation Prize and Women Empowered-India’s Kamala Das Poetry Award ’20. Her work has been showcased at the London Book Fair, and features in national and international journals. Somrita edited the first anthology of food poems called Quesadilla and Other Adventures: Food Poems (Hawakal, 2019). Her work has earned her the WE-Glowing Diamond accolade in ’20.
