The thought provoking works by erudite authors in this issue, range from reflective to playful, poignant, joyous, extraordinary and divine, making this an edition you can keep returning to, especially on a rainy day with a steaming cup of tea in hand. Monsoon is the season for warmth and verse, as is well known.

There's a wonderful short story from the Panchatantra, translated into English by gifted scholar, professor par excellence and birthday-girl - Somrita Urni Ganguly. 

Abha Iyengar has translated Pratap Somvanshi's poems from Hindi to English.

Jagari Mukherjee has translated two sonnets by Gourob Chakroborty from Bengali to English.

Amita Paul presents her own poem in translation – from Punjabi to English.

Poems in English by Shweta Garg and Sonali Pattnaik have been translated into Hindi by Smeetha Bhoumik.

Sufi poet Sachal Sarmast's poems have been translated into English from Sindhi by Gayatri Lakhiani Chawla.
